This is one of our projects before the design work where we utilized 3D laser scanning technology to collect the as built structure.
Located at aprestigious condominium, Malaysia.
Project background: This residential project, which exceeds 1,800 sqft, is located in Putrajaya, Selangor. Our IPORT team begin by using the 3D laser scanner to scan the entire house on site for accuracy and precision measurements.
3D Scanning & Defect Check
Prior to starting the design stage, our team conducts a site visit using advanced 3D laser scanners. This technology allows us to obtain precision in measurements of the entire area, providing a solid foundation for accurate construction drawings and 3D visualizations.
In addition to the 3D laser scanning process, our defect check team, I-Home performs a thorough inspection on site. This evaluation helps identify any potential defects or issues, ensuring that the space is in optimal condition before advancing to the next stages.
By using our 3D laser scanners, we captured the entire floor by generating point cloud images. This advanced method allows us to meticulously capture and create precise 3D representations of physical spaces.
The implementation of point cloud technology enables us to record the dimensions and spatial relationships within the environment. It helps us see the building as it is and easily add design modifications digitally to see what works and what doesn’t. Plus, it’s more immersive, engaging and easier to interpret. This precision ensures that every detail of the physical space is represented accurately, allowing us to visualize the space in its true form.
The detailed data provided by these scans is crucial for the subsequent stages of our workflow. With this accurate 3D data, our team can efficiently move on to visualization and design, making informed decisions and creating designs that reflect the actual conditions of the space.
